  Qualification : PhD Degree/Terminal Qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC recognized Institution) and excellent written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills. Note: Ph.D. thesis of the local degree holders must have been evaluated by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of PhD degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidate must provide evidence of two publications in Journals recognized by the HEC for the purpose of Tenure Track appointment.

The applicant must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in the last five years) in the HEC recognized Journals.
Professor	Ph.D from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.	15-years teaching/research in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. OR 10 years Post-Ph.D teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a Post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International organization.	The applicant must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years) in the HEC recognized journals.

  Eligibility Conditions for appointment of faculty in ARTS & DESIGN (STUDIO PRACTICE) :-

Outstanding and substantial level of professional art activity (demonstrated by participation in 6 exhibitions at national or international level with two or more than two new works in each exhibition or evidence of equal number of visual communication campaigns designed and published or equivalent work in any other discipline of Arts and Design as specified in the research criteria)
	Master's Degree (Foreign or M.Phil. OR Equivalent degree awarded after 18-years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University Institution.	12 years teaching/research experience (with at least 4 years experience after the Master's (Foreign) or equivalent degree in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.	Outstanding and substantial level of professional art activity (Demonstrated by participation in 6 exhibition at national or international level with two or more than two new works in each exhibition or evidence of equal number of visual communication campaigns designed and published or equivalent work in any other discipline of Arts and Design as specified in the research criteria).

  Criteria

	The candidates applying for the post of Associate Professor Under BPS should submit six copies of applications alongwith six complete sets of testimonials/ research work/publications/ any distinction etc on the relevant prescribed form and crossed postal order/bank draft of Rs.3000/- .
	The candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor Under BPS are required to submit one copy of application whereas the candidates applying Under TTS are required to submit three copies of the applications on the relevant prescribed form alongwith attested copies of degrees/certificates/testimonials/ any distinction etc and a crossed postal order/bankd draft of Rs.1500/- .

	Candidates applying under both the systems should submit separate applications along with complete documents together with required postal order for each application.
	The postal order/bank draft should be drawn in favour of the Treasurer, University of the Punjab . Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel by due date and submit service certificates issued by their present and former employers , otherwise, their applications will not be entertained. Incomplete applications or those received after due date shall also not be entertained.
	Ph.D. degree holder will not be considered for Assistant Professor under BPS system .
	Any graduate of the University of the Punjab shall not be eligible for appointment on Tenure Track in the same Department/Institute/College/Centre where he/she has obtained his/her terminal degree for at least 3 years following his/her graduation.
	In case of Assistant Professor only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
	The University reserves the rights not to fill/withdraw any post/withhold the appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason.
